5.6.07 dinner
we continued celebrating 5.6.07 tonight with a dinner of steaks (three real thin n.y. strips that i rubbed with the world's greatest seasoning -- sea salt, black and white pepper, garlic 'n' ginger -- and broiled for 3 minutes a side; shoulda only done 2 for rare), mushrooms sauteed in garlic butter, baked li'l red potatoes (the leftovers of which we'll use for potato 'n' egg burritos), steamed asparagus, and a salad of sliced tomatoes 'n' purple onion, sprinkled with fresh herbs from our garden and drizzled with a mixture of balsamic vinegar 'n' extra virgin olive oil. not half bad. swilled some aussie shiraz along with, then walked to the custard place for dessert and enjoyed seeing the houses suffused with warm light in the falling darkness on the way home.
