and here's vid of puttanesca -- the band fronted by arty-jazzy singer-performance artist weba garretson with current unknown instructors and former saccharine trust/universal congress of/mecolodics gtrist joe baiza providing the skronk factor -- performing captain beefheart's "lick my decals off, baby," a song i wouldn't expect to hear anybody else covering. or maybe that just shows the limits of my imagination.

me & my band shared a bill with Weba @ south by southwest years ago, in a spoken word showcase---back when sxsw bothered with that sort of thing.
Webaworld was her project's name, back in that day, and there was plenty of 'skronk factor' in her band then. glad to hear she's still weird and kickin it w/ the experimental sounds.
