10.8.2009 ftw

since my knees are still sore, opted to try speed-walking today as an alternative to sitting staring at the 'puter screen until worktime. prolly got a better (more prolonged, if not as sporadically intense) cardio workout than i'd have had otherwise, and got to see the botanic gardens, a place i always like to linger. resisted the urge to stop at doc's on the way home in favor of some hills. now i prolly won't do anything else until sat'day a.m.

You'll need to start a regimen of anabolic steroids to reap the full benefits of exercise. Yeah, small testies and a brow that would make Ted Danson seethe with envy are some minor side effects associated with steroids use, not to mention possible aggression issues...

Hey have you heard of Chi Running? It's a technique I've been doing for a while when I run, and it's helped a lot (no more knee pain, shin splints, or sore calves). You're more than welcome to borrow my copy of the book if you want!

steroids: ha. that and a lyle alzado "i am a product of human growth hormone" t-shirt.

chi running? maybe. my boss suggests (and i prefer to think) that my knees just hurt because of all the work i had to do close to the floor while my department was being reset (grocery store lingo for "taking everything from over here and moving it over there") last week. we'll see. have to get you and jesse over the house for din-din so i can get that book from you.
