jesse's show

went to jesse the painter's show at the rose marine gallery last night. he got some nice ink in the star-t this week, even if whoever is doing their website screwed it up by linking from the thumbnail of the betrayal of christ to an even tee-tinier thumbnail. duh. (click on the image below to make it big.) the thing that struck me the most about the new pieces, besides the range of the artist's work, was how his line has matured and become more refined since he painted the murals at the wreck room that first caught my eye seven years ago. also the fact that he throws the best party of anybody i know; my sweetie and i wound up dallying catching up with friends for a lot longer than we intended.
