in case you were wondering, there's now an official fort worth-velvet underground connexxxion, since drummer michael jerome (course of empire, pleasure club, richard thompson) was in v.u. founder john cale's touring band last year. and yes, i _do_ have too much time on my hands.

When I was in college at UT, some friends of mine lived in a house previously occupied by Sterling Morrison. He dropped by one day, but it wasn't until later that we put 2 and 2 together. They did get his driver's license mailed to them and they gave it to some girl. Heh.
yeah, when i lived in austin briefly in late '79 and worked at record town in dobie, sterl was still teaching @ u.t.
to namedrop even more, a guy i worked with there lived in a house formerly inhabited by roky and said he found all kinds of interesting things in the attic.
