making another run at joyce's knotty masterwork ulysses and finding it easier going after seeing the bloom flick. if i can get through this, maybe try dante's the divine comedy next (kinda like the way i read moby-dick and huck finn a few yrs back when i woke up one morning and realized i hadn't read 'em before).
