what is it with these haltom city bands that keep changing their names all the time?!?!? to wit: masters of rustic psychedelia barrel delux, a band formerly known as helldamncrap whose lineup includes past and present dragworms, hasslehorses, and me-thinks; and tongue-in-cheek '80s metallers shotgun messenger, formerly the riverside ramblers. both are playing 6th street live (that's at 2736 6th street, corner of foch) this sat'day night. (topping the bill: veteran country rawkers jasper stone, featuring impulse of will jamcats ron "the velvet hammer" geida and john "johnny peckerwood" shook.) should be interesting to watch the haltomites filtering between 6th street and the li'l wreck room, where homeboy richard hurley and blood of the sun will be playing one last hometown stand before departing on their yurrupean tour.
