brothers reggie and chad rueffer of the hochimen will be playing the fwac acoustic monday thingy next week (um, that'll be the 20th). sounds like a good reason for my sweetie 'n' i to take a walk to the li'l wreck room.

man, i gotta follow your lead do some more walkin'. problem is, i live a solid 12-15 miles from anywhere i ever frequent and walking to those spots involves trekking through some CRAZY-ASS parts of my hometown so that ain't happening. some parts of my hood ain't the safest spots for hoofing (specially when mr. sun says "toodleoo") which makes me somewhat mournful for the years i spent living downtown (somewhat.) i can't walk for exercise unless i have a clear desitination - a start and end point. same with biking. maybe i'll just walk around in circles in my pad for a couple decades straight until i eventually erode a groove straight down through the earth and up through whatever awaits on the other side. now THAT'S a workout.
it's about a 45-min walk from la casa to the wreck. i dunno, maybe 3 miles 'n' change. i'm getting my bicycle (donated by a coworker of my sweetie's) out of the shop this w-e, too. the last one i had actually fell apart while i was riding it after i'd used it for a coupla biathlons.
