stashdauber said...: interesting project, and one that's still developing after 4 yrs or so. the two main cats (jefa and fern, aka jeff arsenault and fernando palumbo) play nylon-string gtrs, and they keep adding ppl to the lineup. fern and their congero, jesse sierra hernandez, are both talented graphic artists, too. fern's stuff is viewable elsewhere on the site that has the sleeplab toons. jesse doesn't really have a web presence, but his works are all over the wreck room (he keeps a studio in the back of the club), incl. one of coltrane that hangs on the stage and inspahrs us on jam nights. they've sat in at the jam, and "puro" comes from the "live rehearsal" i wrote about a coupla wks back, but their first legit gig is this weekend at this huge music 'n' art extravaganza to benefit the local wimmin's center (and is the reason my sweetie and i are gonna have to pass on the minutemen flick).; 2:05 AM
