i feel like such an idjit.
i pulled something in my right calf while doing team-bldg activities at my company's christmas party. it was during, um, the orange race at field day. i took off runnin' w/an orange under my chin and immediately felt something pop. i looked back to see who'd kicked me and realized it wasn't anything from outside. ouch.
luckily, i have a doc appt tom'w to follow up on cholesterol test so i'll see if i can get the two-ailments-for-one deal. right now i'm just wondering how i'll negotiate playing wednesday night (could siddown a la robt. fripp i suppose but i always thought that looked stoopid) and esp. how i'm gonna handle ascending multiple flights of stairs when i go back to work wednesday (burning some va-ca before the end o' yr).

no pharmaceuticals as i prefer to avoid 'em, but the doc did order an mri (going tonight) and a consult w/an orthopod (tom'w). apparently she felt this was a bigger deal than i did.
back injuries suck. then again, so do leg injuries. basically anything that can make you realize how much you take having an uninjured body for granted, and what a drag it can be when you're not able to do what you're usedta.
i guess the doc recommended ibuprofen 'cos it's good for bringing down swelling, and that's prolly the source of my biggest discomfort right now. i remember reading that about acetomenophen -- a friend's bro. actually o.d.'d 'n' died on that stuff a few yrs back. i currently eat one baby aspirin a day for cardio benefit (again, doc's idea). but in general, i'm opposed to pharmacopoeia.
