because i suck, i've been remiss in noting the existence of texasgigs.com, whose honchette cindy chaffin does a better-than-just-okay job of chronicling musical goings-on here in the metromess in time for you to do something about 'em, runs what is from all accounts a decent podcast radio show, and has linked to this blog more times than any sensible person woulda. gotta love the democracy of the 'net, where highly motivated civilians can do a better job of covering this schitt than the working press.
