I wish the sound was better (for example, the gong being lowered into water loses a lot of timbral shifting), but what I like most is that problems with the stage hand union made it impossible for Cage to use the radios as directed in his score, but the panelists move their (apparently light plywood) desk out of the way without union assistance.
It's hard to imagine what would have to happen for something similar to get attention on network tv today.
