apparently it's pronounced like "schenectady," not "sinneck-douche" like i thought. duh. my english major daughter pulled my coat to this flick, which i'll have to see in the fullness of time.

it takes place in schenectady, but it's about synecdoche, so the pronunciation may be optional.
Pretty good movie, though a lot of people find it frustrating. It IS Kaufman's first movie as a director and it is self-indulgent.
