stuff and nonsense

waiting to go to work, threw out the trash and doing a load of laundry. discovered we probably need to open up the valve from the greywater aquifer my sweetie built to prevent the water overflowing back into the house when the washer drains. suspect there probably isn't enough room in the aquifer when it's saturated to accommodate the drainage. our yard looks great since she built that -- all the veggies getting watered by soaker hoses, plus enough runoff to fill her watering can enough times to water all the flowers. the terrascaping in front is starting to look good, too. in our dotage, we won't need to run a lawnmower anywhere, and we'll be growing food all over the place. next steps: the rain barrel and compost cage.

busy rest of week: stoogeprac tonight, moon show tomorrow night, jesse's opening at rose marine sat'day, bbq at calvin and cary's (and the distribution of the haltom city books) sunday. monday she's off for memorial day and i'm hoping i'll be scheduled off that day, which is unlikely. film, as they say, at 11.
