About Me

- Name: The Stash Dauber
- Location: Fort Worth, Where the West Begins, United States
I write about music and other things. I play guitar in a proto-punk cover band and various instruments in an experimental music band. I push potions 'n' lotions for the man in a grocery store. I'm married, have three children, eight grandchildren, and two cats. Life's good.

righteous. it's about time their story got to the big screen.
jenkins and anderson's book "dance of days: two decades of punk in the nation's capital" covers the whole story of hr & crew really well - but you can't peep all that great gig footage with your nose in a book.
i'm just hoping this doco doesn't gloss over some of the more unsavory moments of their storied career. as much of a bummer as some of hr's views are/were, it's still worth mentioning when discussing the bad brains as a whole.
had the pleasure of seeing the classic lineup in their DC town in '04. no backflips from the frontman, but they were still full of that wild abandon that made them great in the first place.
i have to admit, when i read the title of this post, my first thought was: "i wonder what hr is going to do to derail this project before it makes it to the screen." stupid cynicism on my part, because if the bad brains have proved nothing else in their 30 stint as a band - it's that they're survivors in the truest sense.
can't wait to see this.
