chrissie hynde

speaking of cleveland, chrissie hynde is 56 today. when i came back to texas from colorado in '81, my entahr "music collection" consisted of two cassettes: the first albs by the specials and her band, the pretenders. i saw 'em their first time in the states, too, at some shithole in dallas. i think these two songs (which i believe were on a 12" e.p. together ca. '78) were their best moments. i like how in the first vid she's dressed kinda like ray davies (whom she later married) usedta look in '64. sucks that two of these guys (the one whose '80s onstage attire seems to anticipate anime and the gtr player) are dead now, too. heroin bad, kids.
