"the devil and daniel johnston" at the modern
both jasper stone frontguy ed voyles and my cinema-enamored buddy andrew in philly pulled my coat to this flick; now it's playing at the li'l fort's very own modern art museum as part of their "magnolia at the modern" film series:

best 2 hours you'll spend at the pictures all year. there ain't ever much that is actually "worth the hype" that surrounds it (though this is,) and i DARE any flick to make me like it more than this'un in '06.
"best two hours i've spent in a LONG time..."
precisely the thing i heard a happy camper say--quite loudly--as end credits rolled for "Neil Young: Heart of Gold" at the Modern last month.
"Devil and DJ" is well-edited and so much fun, cuz i knew him (Daniel, not the devil) back in the day. hehe
